When things don't go my way

I get so stress up and frus up

I know everything happens in God's timing

But sometimes I wonder,

If God put me here,

It means that I can handle the circumstances given to me

Then why do I feel this way?

When I earnestly pray for something,

I am so so so hoping that God would hear them

But that is not usually the case,

And I get mad and questioned Him

As I was walking back home today,

Warning: This is going to be a long post..... I think

A week before 4th of September 2009

I received a call from my mum and dad asking me the same question

"Is sunway lagoon next to sunway pyramid"

Nothing out of the blue since both of them said that they were asking on behalf of their friends

Mum said that one of her colleague was coming over to Vista for unknown reason

And her colleague would bring over some stuff to pass to me.

So mum asked me to stay at home instead of going for the usual cell group on Friday

I agreed to it

3rd September 2009

Mum sms-ed me asking for my unit number

Paiseh to have my mum's colleague to come to my unit

I suggested for us to meet up at the swimming pool

4th September 2009

Mum sms-ed asking about the weather in KL

How random can she get

I had a early off that day

So i went back early and hit the sack

When I woke up,

it was 7 and there was a volleyball match going on

So i decided to go down and watch

Sis called me and said "Jie, we're in KL"

My typical reaction would be

you're lying

Then my sister passed the phone to my mum

and my mum confirmed their location

I was dumbstrucked for a moment

The next thing i know, the phone went off

Dad called in return

And reassure that they are in KL

Couldn't believe what i heard,

tears suddenly flow from my eyes.

He asked me to pack and take the train down to Bukit Bintang

I went home, still couldn't believe that they are actually here

As i was back home packing,

I called my dad one more time to reconfirm that they are actually here

And knowing my parents,

they would never ask me to go down to Bukit Bintang alone at night

Even alone in the morning they are so not okay

what again at night

When i reach Bukit Bintang station,

there they were, standing outside the station waiting for me

even with them there,

i still couldn't believe that they are actually here

I was dumbstrucked and overjoyed.

The weekends were spent with them

2nd week of September was one of the stressful week

Partly it was due to camp

A lot of work needs to be finished up before the starting of camp

I was given 3 reports of which 2 was due on monday, 1 portfolio due on friday and 1 PBL due on monday

Camp was fun

It was a nice getaway from IMU

The most unexpecting thing was

part of our mode of transportation was cable car

in the night

I never sat in a cable car at night before

Then we had to walk to Peacehaven

It was a really good time spent up there

The surroundings were calm and peaceful

The air, fresh and cool

It made you wanna continue to stay there and not come back to face reality

Camp was another way of getting to know more new friends

It was really nice knowing all of you =)

In all, the experience was an unforgetable one

One that is very dear and precious to me

God never promise us a easy life, even through strugglings, He would also be there for us.

The Last Week of July

Despite being a busy week,
With PBL and Portfolios to do
I still somehow manage to find time to fool around

Monday.
As usual, early morning got already got PBL.
And we receive our Portfolio title
PBL + Portfolio = more work

Tuesday.
Working on my PBL
Went out for dinner with my dear steph and pei wen

Wednesday.
Got a msg from didi saying that she's coming over to vista
At night
Around 9 o'clock.
For wat?
To help dai move her fridge to suriamas
I was like
"YOU TWO GILA SUDAH KA. PINDAH STUFF IN THE MIDDLE OF THE NIGHT"
So i decided to just go along.
To see Dai's new place and also to hang out with the both of them
Didi was driving.
And she missed the turning to subang
We end driving on the highway to shah alam
eeeekkkk
But but,
before all hope was lost,
we still had one last last last resort
that is *drum rolls please*
Dai's GPS!!!
With the help of GPS, we were able to get back on track
And this time, we made sure didi did not miss the turning

We camwhore in dai's room.
I'll upload the pics when i get them.
Next, instead of going back to vista,
the two of them decided to go on a mini road trip
the adventurous side of them came crawling out
We went from subang to midvalley road to bukit bintang to klcc
and the both of them were thinking of going to nilai
i was like NOOOOOOOOOO
i had class at 8 the next day

Thursday to Friday
I will continue blogging the next time

i need to continue with my PBL work

Another week gone pass

2nd week of Sem 3 just whoosh through
Time really flies
And i have not started revising any of my lectures.
I was planning to start my revision after the junior's orientation
But just looking at my peer starting their revision,
made me worried too.
Peer pressure does wonder to a person

My week have been fairly good.
A bit busy with PBL, reports and junior's orientation
But the peak time would be the coming week
Where everything will officially start

IMU decided to adopt a new way of teaching
And our juniors are the first batch to test out the method
It's call e-learning
Where the lecture notes are placed on the e-learning portal
and students are required to read the lecture notes beforehand
And the one hour lecture would be interactive ie Q&A sessions
We seniors would be having this system next semester
Oh gosh

Since last sunday,
Had been attending deep and strong sessions in church
It helped me a lot
Esp to deal with some of the problems Im currently facing
Tonight Im going again
=)

Friday: Class and Nessa came over to visit.
Brought her along to share group
After share group, brought her to AC for supper.
Ket Hon got NEW car.
WAKAKAKA

Saturday: Met up with Djah
Nessa wanted to go karaoke
And plus it was Djah's first time
Greenbox in Sungai Wang was full
So they relocated us to Redbox Low Yat

After karaoke, me and nessa traveled to seremban to visit her friend Gates aka Pagar
One long hour ride from KL central.
By the time we reach there,
it was around 4.30
Pagar was waiting for us at the station

First stop was the ever famous Seremban Siew Pau

And next, he brought us to Port Dickson
They had jagung bakar instead of jagung rebus

On the way back to seremban,
I slept in the car
Was super tired due to all the traveling
Plus i slept late the night before

We had Seremban's famous fish head noodles for dinner

Since Nessa came to visit
I've been telling her that I was craving for durian
She too also wanted to eat durian since it is now in season
The very nice Pagar drove around Seremban just to find a durian stall for us

My craving is finally satisfied!!!!!

And after that,
Pagar dropped us back at the station
And we took the train back to Vista

Sunday: Went out shopping with Djah and Nessa.
Mega Sales is on now.
But i have yet to save any $$ to shop
Maybe later

Sem 3 starts....

Tomorrow
Gosh.
Received the schedule a week ago.
And it is so packed.
I told to a friend and her respond was
"Isn't all your semesters equality packed"
.....

This sem,
they abolished class tests
There are pros and cons to it
Pros is I can concentrate on my assignments + portfolio + reports
Cons is I will not be consistently studying
Which I have to somehow find the will to consistently studying

Oh well.
Will see how things turn out to be.
I pray that everything no matter how wrong it is can somehow miraculously just fall into place.
I believe He works in way I won't comprehend
But it will turn out right for me

Lesson of the day:
The Peace of the Lord reconcile us men and God and Gentile and Jews.

Till results are out.
It didn't hit me that hard
Until just now when I realize today is Thursday
Well now it's Friday

We had a group of African American all the way from Atlanta USA visiting our group tonight
And whether it is by chance or not
I got to know one of them
His name was Weggie (hopefully it is the right spelling)
He is 53 years old who look like he is in his early 30s
Have a son and is already a grandfather.
Embarassing or not,
All i could do after learning his age
Was to repeat the sentence
"Are you SERIOUSLY serious?"

I was told the key to stay young
Was to not worry about anything that cannot be change
(The Lord is hinting me)
He said that
If things cannot be changed, there is no point for me to continuously worry about it
However,
It is MY nature to worry and put unnecessary pressure on myself
(Bel would say I told you so)

Tonight will be a sleepless night

Yes it was due to exams (EOS we called them)

Something that I am glad that is over and done with

It has taken a toil on me

I was a bursting water pipe

And because of EOS,

I had to wear glasses...

I sail off to the island called Redang

To have my 3 days and 2 nights worth of enjoyment

Tonight was suppose to celebrate 3 persons birthday

But 2 of them wasn't able to come

Hence it became a Good Sam reunion dinner cum Yapp's birthday

It was raining heavily today.

Just like it did for the past few days

When I was a little girl,

I doubted my dad loves me.

I was a naughty girl back then.

My dad tend to punish me.

Hit me with a cane.

I was very afraid of him back then.

To me,

he is someone who would just hit me whenever I am naughty.

As I grow older,

He is still someone who scolds me when I am naughty.

Mum slowly reveal to me,

how much He loves me.

Then, I never took her words seriously.

To me,

how could someone who only scolds, love me?

I watch movie, I see other families.

I wonder,

Can my dad be like them?

Back then,

even though he buys me things,

To me,

I felt like it was their responsibility to buy me the things that I wanted.

I never it as a sign that he loves me

I slowly realize what Mum had said to me so many years ago

For that purpose, FCC invited Jonathan Tse

He brought along Tzun Tzun who is a talented guitarist

Actually both of them are.

He sang and bless us through his music

All of the songs sang are composed by himself

Some of the songs really did touched me

And brought tears to my eyes

Especially when he told us the story

It's due to the lack of internet at my condo and lack of time.

Portfolios and PBLs have taken much of my precious time.

But in the midst of those, I am still able to take break and pamper myself

This year, after EOS,

we'll be visiting Redang Island.

I came back to KK last saturday.

In the airport, I met with 3 families

Who are very rude.

VERY very rude

They cut queue at the check in counter.

After checking in, they did not even bother to remove the trolley away to make way for people at the back to move forward.

And unfortunately, I was sitting behind them during the flight.

The 3 kids are screaming and shouting through out the whole flight.

The parents just critisize everything onboard.

Was so tempted to shut them up.

Oh well.

Some ppl are just like them.

They are from another country.

Sigh.

Today had futsal with the youth.

The guys were so happy they finally got what they wanted

They have been asking for it

New Year's Eve

It was cum YS's birthday.

Two days before

We went shopping for his present.

To YS: It was so hard to find a suitable shirt for it

The shirt suit him very well

And made him more lookable

We gather at Jade's place

Then move out

First stop was atmosphere

Papa Bear wanted to buy us drinks

But it turns out that there is an entrance fee require

So we move to the next nearest place

Hence we moved to open space

= Alamesra Car Park

No doubt we have chosen weird places for our new year countdown

But nevertheless, it was spent with people close to our heart

At the end, it didn really matter we had our countdown

Woke up at freaking 5.30am

For service

It's at 8

But we had to go early for worship prac

After that service, had movie - Four Christmases

It's so weird watching that movie since Christmas is over

But oh well,

That's the best show they had at that time

Sabah - land below the wind

Normally when ppl ask me when Im from and they know it's Sabah

The common that pop from them is

"Do you guys still live on trees?"

"Do you guys have cars/internets/shopping malls?"

We don't live on trees

YES

We have everything you guys have

One of the advantages Sabah has is that

If we would like to go to the beach,

it is say 10 minutes drive from my place.

If we would like to go to the mountains,

it's maybe around 1 to 1 1/2 hours.

Everything is very near to each other.

This morning,

we had the urge to go to Kundasang

and Tamparuli for Tuaran mee

The view there is breathtaking

Updating time

Wednesday nite.

I missed the youth's performance in gaya street

instead, i met up with melia, djah and bel for a sleepover at djah's place.

Newly renovated

Her mum has good taste..

She was unhappy with her room,

it's kinda small..

But comfy

So sleepovers,

you sleep late.

i slept at 6 on a thursday morning after movies and pillow talks

Thursday morning

short session of shopping in centre

and catch "angus, thongs and perfect snogging"

a nice movie i can say

at night, went to gaya street with serena, flora.

sean came late.

tried the bb gun at one of the stall..

bad aiming skills

next up, to suprise J tan who came back from aussie.

flora was suppose to lead the way to his church.

and end up, going to my church instead..

haha..

He was shocked to see us and he cried..

For two nights, we had birthday sang to the families.

Badminton was fun..

It was GENTING trip

This is the first day of my first week of hols since starting in IMU.

By now everyone should have already left vista and journey back to various parts of Malaysia

Guys and Gurls. Have a safe journey home =).

My journey begins on Monday.
